When emergencies happen they affect all areas of society. Your time and energy as volunteers touches the lives of others. Explore the ways how you can help your community now, during and after an emergency.
Before an emergency
Find out how you can volunteer with local groups, including the British Red Cross, WRVS, St John Ambulance, radio amateurs, and even volunteer with your 4×4 vehicle!
During an emergency
There are many opportunities for you to be involved during an emergency that will help you and your neighbours.
After an emergency
If you are already part of a community group, ask your service coordinator to see if they need any help.
